Best Chocolate Chip Cookies
Makes 2 dozen
2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
½ tsp. baking soda
½ c. butter (1stick)
1 tsp. salt
½ c. butter Crisco
½ c. sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 c. semisweet and/or milk chocolate chips
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. In an electric mixer combine butter,
shortening, sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time and then vanilla. With the mixer on low add flour mixture
slowly until just combined. Stir in
chocolate chips until well distributed.
Using a large ice cream scoop to provide equal measures of dough 2
inches apart on a greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes until lightly browned.
